Medical Physicist

We are seeking highly motivated and qualified individuals to join our team as Junior Specialists or Assistant Specialists in the Department of Radiological Sciences at the University of California, Irvine.
The successful candidate will be involved in research investigation in the areas of cardiovascular and dual energy CT, focusing on applications of medical x-ray imaging for cardiovascular disease and cancer diagnosis.
Applicants with a broad background in medical physics, physics, or electrical engineering are preferred. A strong motivation to pursue an academic medical physics career is essential, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
The ideal candidate will have a Baccalaureate degree or equivalent research experience for the Junior Specialist position, or a Master's degree or relevant Bachelor's degree plus 3 or more years of research experience for the Assistant Specialist position.
