Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Asheville Pulmonary & CCU. As a vital member of our patient care team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain an orderly, efficient, and timely flow of patients.
  • Assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients.
  • Screen patients for appropriate information.
  • Instruct patients and family regarding medications and treatment instructions.
  • Maintain current knowledge to assure a safe working environment and demonstrate practical application of all policies and procedures relative to safety and infection control.
  • Utilize universal precautions in any potential contact with patient body fluids or used patient supplies that may be contaminated with patient body fluids.
Requirements
  • Two to four years of experience in the field is required.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Certification and registration as required by state regulations.
