Job Summary

Envision Radiology is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team in Southlake, TX. As a part-time MRI Specialist, you will be responsible for performing MRI procedures according to protocol and age-specific needs, including patient preparation. You will maintain and monitor the patient environment, adhere to safety procedures, and contribute to the security and maintenance of the unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interface with patients to ascertain medical history and provide instructions and explanations of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.
  • Review patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent, screen patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
  • Obtain prior films/exams as needed and perform high-quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for review.
  • Perform exams while attending to patient care before, during, and following the exam and notify the appropriate party if the patient's condition changes at any time.
  • Transfer images to other locations as needed.
  • Coordinate scan protocols with the Radiologist.
  • Maintain and regularly inspect equipment and immediately report any quality concerns, equipment failures, or deficiencies.
  • Interface with the Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.
Requirements
  • Two plus years' experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) - preferred.
  • Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver, and a team player.
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to excel in a very fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to continuously 'exceed' company and customer expectations.
  • Strong communication skills & professional demeanor.
  • Education/Certifications: Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program, Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification with Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) or current American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), Current license from state medical board (if applicable), Current CPR certification.
