Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Offset Press Operator to join our team at QPS Employment Group. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation of our offset presses and ensuring the highest quality output.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain production standards and ensure efficient operation of the pressroom
  • Register and achieve color standards to meet customer requirements
  • Troubleshoot press problems and implement solutions to minimize downtime
  • Order inks and printing supplies from approved vendors
  • Organize press crews and floor procedures to optimize scheduling processes
  • Verify factory tickets and confirm load tickets, sheet size, substrate, caliper, and ink color
  • Collaborate with offset assistants, feeder pressmen, and department supervisors to achieve production goals
  • Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and other powered industrial vehicles
  • Handle liquid ink and other hazardous materials
Requirements
  • Familiarity with the printing industry and prior experience in a pressroom environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
  • Basic math skills and good problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
