BURNCO LLC is in search of skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanics to support operations across various locations.

Under the guidance of the Fleet Maintenance Manager, the chosen candidates will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of Ready-Mix trucks, while ensuring the workshop environment remains safe and organized.

Compensation:
Starting at $28 per hour for experienced mechanics.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conducting installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment according to specifications.
- Identifying malfunctions through visual inspections and auditory assessments of machinery.
- Demonstrating expertise in troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Communicating effectively with management regarding critical issues.
- Performing routine preventative maintenance and inspections on service vehicles.
- Engaging in welding, repairs, and fabrication as necessary.
- Sourcing parts for repairs as needed.
- Traveling to other BURNCO locations as required.
- Assisting in the training of fellow team members.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Complying with all company policies and procedures.
- Taking on additional tasks as assigned.

- Effective Preventative Maintenance
- Prompt Response to Maintenance Requests

Qualifications:

- Comprehensive knowledge of truck mechanics and general maintenance practices.
- Proficient in the use of power tools, welding equipment, and safety devices.
- Familiarity with mechanical and maintenance protocols.
- Competent in utilizing computer systems.
- Experience with Allison transmissions, Davie 4, and ESA software is advantageous.
- Proficient English communication skills.
- Clean driving record and ability to pass MVR checks.
- Commercial Driver's License is preferred.
- Personal tool set up to 3⁄4 inch is required.
- Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Truck Mechanic is necessary.
- Experience with concrete mixers and aggregate haul trucks is a plus.

Travel Requirements:
- Occasional travel to various company sites for maintenance tasks may be necessary.

Physical Requirements:

The role involves physical demands such as:

Working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Coordination of vision and hearing abilities.
- Engaging in physical activities including standing, walking, lifting, and bending.
- Exposure to loud machinery, chemicals, and heavy equipment.
- Utilization of personal protective equipment including safety shoes, vests, glasses, ear protection, and hard hats.
