About the Role

Talento Search Group is seeking a seasoned Fabrication Manager to lead our fabrication team in the Richmond, Virginia area. This is a direct hire position with a competitive salary based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of fabrication employees, including training, coaching, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement annual budgets, including performance reviews, financial forecasts, and cost projections.
  • Oversee project scheduling, resource allocation, delivery dates, and costing to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Ensure quality standards are met for both the company and clients.
  • Be a hands-on manager for training and coaching purposes, as well as filling in as needed on the floor.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of current piping fabrication experience, including welding of various metals such as galvanized, stainless, and carbon steel.
  • Minimum 1 year in a leadership role in fabrication.
  • Excellent communication, multi-tasking, mathematical, computer, and organization skills.
  • Experience interfacing with external clients and internal departments.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings for project costing and setup.
  • Demonstrate a high work ethic and be a role model for the team.
