Laboratory Director

The Laboratory Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hospital and clinical laboratory departments. This includes providing leadership and direction to staff, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and implementing quality assurance programs to meet regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage budgets for assigned departments.
- Supervise staff and ensure adequate staffing in each department.
- Monitor patient satisfaction and implement plans for improvement.
- Implement and assess a comprehensive quality assurance program to meet regulatory agency requirements.
- Develop and maintain operational plans for laboratory instruments and management of departmental documentation.
- Plan, implement, and market services that meet the needs of internal and external customers.
- Provide leadership and facilitate Baptist vision and values through personal example and interaction with staff.
Education:
Preferred: Master's Degree in Business Administration or Health Care Administration.
Minimum: Bachelor's Degree.
Experience:
Minimum: 3-5 years of laboratory supervisory experience with demonstrated abilities to direct team activities and basic business applications.
Licensure, Registration, Certification:
Minimum: ASCP certification.
