Position Overview:

As a Senior High Power Radio Frequency Engineer, you will leverage your engineering expertise to enhance the capabilities of the Department of Defense. Your understanding of intricate systems will be pivotal in the design and development of cutting-edge High Power Radio Frequency (HPRF) systems tailored for operational use.

Your Role:

In this position, you will engage in the complete product and system development lifecycle, from initial concept through to final delivery. Your contributions will directly influence the development of innovative solutions that provide warfighters with advanced operational options. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior engineers, sharing your extensive knowledge and experience in HPRF technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct laboratory and field testing, establishing goals and methodologies to ensure thorough evaluation of HPRF systems.
  • Design and implement high-powered microwave systems, focusing on pulsed power technologies.
  • Fabricate and test electronic printed circuit boards, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Utilize your knowledge of digital and analog control systems, power electronics, and EMI mitigation techniques in your engineering practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including government personnel and stakeholders, to achieve project objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HPRF and HPM source testing and evaluation.
  • Proficient in designing and analyzing high-powered microwave systems.
  • Strong background in RF and microwave signal generation, as well as experience with relevant test equipment.
  • Secret clearance is required for this position.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience with high voltage systems and electromagnetic interference mitigation.
  • Experience in software engineering related to program development or simulation.
  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
