**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at Ocean Downs. As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing journal entries, month-end accruals, and inter-company billing sheets. You will also provide support to horse racing regulatory agencies and take ownership of live racing season bookkeeping.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Prepare journal entries in accordance with GAAP
* Prepare month-end accruals for assigned departments, factoring in accounts payable activity, experience averages, and calculated estimates
* Assist in preparing inter-company billing sheets and documentation
* Provide support to horse racing regulatory agencies, including processing on-site transactions
* Take ownership of live racing season bookkeeping
* Assist in analyzing manual cost transfers and inventory valuation
* Provide documentation for internal and external audit requests
* Promote outstanding customer relations

**Requirements:**

* One to two years of related accounting experience
* Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office products
* Ability to obtain and keep a License issued by the Maryland State Lottery Agency required of all Gaming Establishment employees
