Varsity Coach

The Bishop's School is an independent, all-gender college-preparatory day school for 800 students in grades six through twelve. Founded in 1909 and affiliated with the Episcopal Church, the school is located on a historic campus in La Jolla, just 10 miles north of downtown San Diego. The Bishop's School is looking for qualified coaches to lead our Varsity, JV, and Middle School teams in various sports, including football, cross-country, flag football, lacrosse, volleyball, basketball, field hockey, soccer, softball, baseball, tennis, track, water polo, equestrian, sailing, surf, swimming, and golf.

As a coach at The Bishop's School, you will be responsible for instructing and working with athletes to prepare them for competition. You will help athletes to play their best individually and as a team while instilling the school's mission and values. You will be an expert on the rules, strategies, and techniques of your sport, and you will be able to communicate effectively with student-athletes and their families.

The ideal candidate will have proven job experience as a coach or experience working with students in grades 6-12. You will have strong ability to adhere to regulations and standards, outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, and excellent organizational and problem-solving ability. You will be able to inspire and motivate student-athletes to achieve their goals.

The Bishop's School offers a competitive compensation package, including a base compensation of $19-$30 per hour, depending on experience. The school also offers a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and professional development opportunities.
