Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool team. As a Float Pool Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care to patients in various units, including Medical Surgical, Cardiac, Stepdown, PCU, Chemical Detox, and Behavior Health.
Responsibilities- Deliver safe and effective patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient conditions.
- Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Department of Unassigned (DOU).
- Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and/or response to treatment.
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS (ARC/AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Current ACLS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
- Current PALS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
- Minimum of one year experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital setting preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Able to float to two (2) or more units and maintain competency within assigned areas
