Senior Cybersecurity Operations Engineer

Valiant Integrated Services is in search of an experienced individual to contribute to the Defense Threat Reduction Agency's Advance Red Cyber initiative. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in designing cutting-edge tools for Red Cyber team Operators engaged in cyber evaluation activities for U.S. Government and DoD essential networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and develop tools, exploits, and software for red cyber initiatives
  • Perform comprehensive open-source investigations on cyber weaknesses
  • Engage in reverse engineering and thorough analysis of source code
  • Utilize scripting or programming languages such as C, C++
  • Oversee code review and validation procedures
  • Examine operational tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) and formulate exploits
  • Document the secure application of developed tools
  • Assist in DevOps code review processes
  • Construct and customize exploits for command and control (C2) systems
  • Refine C2 tools to minimize detection risks
  • Address urgent development needs as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in a related field
  • Eligibility for TS or TS/SCI clearance is preferred

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Hybrid work arrangement - 4 days onsite, 1 day remote
  • Frequent travel and exposure to diverse weather conditions
  • Physical activities include sitting, walking, communicating, and lifting up to 40 pounds
