About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Holy Name Medical Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic Imaging Procedures: Perform a variety of duties in preparing patients for imaging of particular organs to furnish diagnostic information.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate various nuclear medicine equipment to produce diagnostic results and measure therapeutic radioactive materials in specific body areas.
  • Radioactive Materials Management: Monitor and record all radioactive materials received in the department for leakage or damage.
  • Quality Control: Maintain and document all records as required by NRC and DEP.
  • Patient Care: Prepare radioactive doses and materials for daily patient administration.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain quality control procedures on all equipment.
  • Collaboration: Assist physician in performing procedures and computer enhancing of images.
  • Communication: Consult with patients to obtain a complete clinical history and gather pertinent clinical data.
  • Adaptability: Be available to work adjusted schedules, including overtime, evenings, and weekends, as needed.
  • Professional Development: Participate in quality improvement activities and attend staff meetings.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree from an AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine Program.
  • Experience: Training and experience in radiation safety and protection.
  • Certifications: ARRT, NMTCB, and NJDEP licenses in Nuclear Medicine and Limited CT Fusion.
