Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at CoreCivic. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will be responsible for providing clinical mental health services to inmates at the Torrance County Detention Facility in Estancia, NM.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct mental health screenings and assessments to identify inmates' needs and develop individual treatment plans.
  • Provide counseling and therapy services to inmates, including crisis interventions and mental health assessments.
  • Document treatment and evaluation activities in the health care record for each inmate.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive materials and information at all times.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for inmates.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related clinical area.
  • Five years of clinical experience, including two years in a comparable job position.
  • Appropriate certification or licensing in the state where practice occurs.
  • Valid driver's license (unless required by contract or applicable statute).
