We employ detail-oriented individuals for part-time Field Enumerator positions that support our organization's data collection efforts.

Salary and Benefits

This position earns $16.83/hour plus mileage with opportunities for promotions based on hours worked and performance ratings. We also offer a flexible schedule, remote work options, and knowledge about where your food comes from.

The salary for this position is estimated at around $30,000-$40,000 per year, depending on hours worked and location.

Job Description

As a Field Enumerator, you will play a crucial role in serving agricultural producers by providing reliable, accurate, and objective statistics and information that farmers, ranchers, and rural communities depend on.

You will actively interview farmers, ranchers, and other agricultural businesses either in person or on the phone. At times, you may travel to designated fields to perform crop counts.

Your primary responsibilities include:

• Maintaining detailed and legible records of interviews, crop counts, mileage, expenditures, and hours worked.
• Conducting enumerator work from a residence with an operable telephone free from distractions.
• Traveling to designated fields to perform crop counts.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• Experience multitasking in an energetic, deadline-oriented work environment.
• Ability to positively represent NASDA and the benefits of enumerators in all survey actions.
• Ability to make crop counts in designated fields.
• Ability to maintain a reliable personal vehicle.
• Ability to conduct interviews in person or by telephone with farm operators and other individuals.
• Knowledge about computers or iPads.
