Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the oral surgeon during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and handling instruments with precision.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical trays, ensuring all necessary equipment is available and in good working order.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes or concerns.
  • Provide exceptional patient care, addressing their needs and concerns in a compassionate and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest techniques and technologies in oral surgery.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Assistant program.
  • Certification as a Surgical Assistant.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification required.
  • Dental X-ray license (Pano, PA, CBCT) required.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
