We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Superintendent to support the Superintendent in overseeing daily construction activities on commercial job sites for Diamond Peak Recruiting.
Key Responsibilities:- Site Management: Assist the Superintendent in managing daily on-site operations, including coordinating subcontractors, scheduling, and ensuring that work is completed according to the project plans and specifications.
- Quality Control: Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. Perform regular inspections and address any quality issues promptly.
- Safety Oversight: Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on the job site. Conduct safety meetings, monitor compliance with safety protocols, and ensure that all workers adhere to safety standards.
- Scheduling Support: Assist in maintaining the project schedule, tracking progress, and making adjustments as needed to keep the project on track. Communicate schedule updates and milestones to the project team.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date site documentation, including reports, time sheets, safety logs, and material delivery records.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve on-site issues in a timely manner. Collaborate with the Superintendent, project managers, and subcontractors to address challenges and keep the project moving forward.
- Subcontractor Coordination: Assist in managing subcontractors' work to ensure it is performed in accordance with project plans and within the scheduled timeframe.
- Client and Stakeholder Communication: Support the Superintendent in communicating project status and any site-related issues to clients, architects, and other stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial construction, with prior experience as a foreman, assistant superintendent, or similar role.
- Skills: Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and safety regulations. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in construction management software and MS Office Suite. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications. OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain.
