Job Summary

Pipeline Carriers Inc is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting reinforced concrete pipe, raw materials, and other products from one place to another using heavy or tractor-trailer trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate trucks with a capacity of at least 80,000 pounds per gross vehicle weight
  • Deliver loads safely and in a timely manner over required routes, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations
  • Load and unload cargo and other materials
  • Maintain signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork
  • Facilitate routine service on trucks, including checking oil, water, gasoline, and air
  • Drive local distances and perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Keep an electronic log of activities and maintain a clean and well-maintained truck
Requirements
  • Clean driving record
  • 2 years of experience in load and unload operations
  • 2 years of experience as a Class A CDL driver
  • Understanding of DOT regulations and guidelines
  • Commercial driver's license and medical examiner's card
Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and requires attention to detail. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level can be loud.

The physical demands of the job include standing, walking, sitting for long periods, using hands to handle objects, reaching, climbing stairs, talking, and hearing. The employee must occasionally lift or move products and supplies up to 75 pounds.

Drivers must be able to climb in and out of the cab and secure loads using chains, binders, and other straps.
