About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Cath Lab team at Bon Secours Mercy Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Administer medications and treatments in a safe and effective manner, consistent with established policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
  • Act as a patient advocate, promoting patient safety and well-being through ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to take an active role in their care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest clinical practices and technologies.
Requirements
  • Current RN license in the state of practice or compact state.
  • BLS certification (Basic Life Support) or equivalent.
  • ACLS certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) or equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience in telemetry, critical care, cardiac cath lab, ER, or OR.
  • EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training or equivalent.
  • Critical Care Course or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CCRN certification (Critical Care Registered Nurse).
  • PCCN certification (Progressive Care Certified Nurse).
  • National Institute of Health (NIH) Stroke Certification.
  • RCIS certification (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist).
  • RCES certification (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist).
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high stress levels and fluctuating workloads. You may be exposed to physical altercations and verbal abuse, and may be required to use physical restraints. You may also be exposed to high noise levels and bright lights, and may have periods of constant interruptions.

Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to lift and carry patients, push and pull equipment, and stand for long periods of time. You may also be required to bend, stoop, and climb, and may be exposed to manual dexterity and repetitive arm/hand movements.
