Job Opportunity at Tygart Hotel

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at the Oxley House Restaurant in the Tygart Hotel in Elkins, WV. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook food to the highest standards, adhering to our Up to Par standards.
  • Set up and maintain a clean and organized cook station, ensuring efficient food preparation and presentation.
  • Restock and replenish ingredients, supplies, and equipment as needed.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless service and high-quality food presentation.
  • Participate in kitchen cleaning, sanitation, and organization, adhering to proper food storage procedures.
  • Monitor and report food waste, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of new recipes and menu items, ensuring they meet our high standards.

Requirements:

  • Previous cooking experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities, with a focus on delivering exceptional results.
