Position Overview
  • Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Job Details:

  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Weekly Hours: 48 hours
  • Shift: 12-hour night shifts

Requirements:

  • Active Louisiana RN License
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in MSTele/PCU
  • Experience in MS Tele and PCU
  • Completion of PCU and MS Tele skills checklist
  • Experience in a cardiac telemetry unit, including administration of cardiazem, amiodarone, and other set rate drips
  • Ability to interpret cardiac strips and make clinical decisions regarding medication administration and drip titration
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • NIH certification preferred
  • CPI certification preferred
  • Previous travel nursing experience is a plus

Additional Information:

  • Floating across MS/Tele/PCU units may be required
  • Patient-to-nurse ratio: 1:4
  • COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
  • Flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
