CT Technologist Job Description

Catholic Medical Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our imaging department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for CT scans, ensuring accurate positioning and safety protocols.
  • Operate CT scanners, power injectors, and other equipment to produce high-quality images.
  • Administer contrast media and start intravenous lines as needed.
  • Assist radiologists with biopsies, abscess drainage, and other procedures.
  • Recognize and respond to emergency situations, initiating code procedures and administering first aid/CPR as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to quality control checks and daily safety warm-ups.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as an Imaging Technologist (Nuclear Medicine, US, CT, or DI) and 1 year of CT experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in cross-sectional anatomy, functional use of CT scanners, power injectors, and venipuncture.
  • Ability to be trained to a level of competency and obtain certification within 12 months of completing training.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology and registered by the ARRT (or registry-eligible).
  • Licensed in the State of New Hampshire with the Board of Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy.
