Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Winch Truck with Wide Loads: Safely drive a Winch Truck with Wide Loads in a professional manner, obeying all traffic laws at all times.
  • Maintain Valid CDL: Ensure a valid CDL is maintained and report any citations or tickets to the Safety Department.
  • Knowledge of Oil Rig Equipment: Possess knowledge of oil rig equipment weights, strengths, and safe distribution on trucks and trailers.
  • Load Assist and Winch Operation: Identify loads that require Load Assist and operate various winches, understanding their operation and limitations.
  • Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, completing required reports on truck, trailers, and operating equipment.
  • Load Security and Safety: Properly secure loads, identify oversize loads with signs and flags, and assist in directing loading and unloading.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Work as a team with pushers and swampers, communicate effectively with dispatchers and drivers, and advise the Safety Department of near misses and incidents.
  • Maintenance and Inspections: Perform daily maintenance and inspections of trucks, trailers, and equipment.
  • Company Policies and Procedures: Follow company safety policies and procedures at all times.
Requirements
  • Valid CDL: Possess a valid CDL and be willing to report any citations or tickets to the Safety Department.
  • Oil Rig Equipment Knowledge: Have knowledge of oil rig equipment weights, strengths, and safe distribution on trucks and trailers.
  • Winch Operation and Load Assist: Be able to operate various winches and identify loads that require Load Assist.
