Key Responsibilities:
As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality medical care to patients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitoring patient progress and reporting changes to the healthcare team.
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Providing education and support to patients and their families regarding health management.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Completion of an accredited nursing program.
Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in a Medical/Surgical nursing role, unless applying for a Residency position.
Licensure: Must hold a current Registered Professional Nurse license in New York State. BLS certification is required within three months of hire and must be renewed annually.
Work Environment:
This position is classified as Per Diem, with standard hours set at 12.00. You will be expected to work day shifts, committing to one 12-hour shift per week, including one winter and one summer holiday, as well as every third weekend.
Physical Requirements:
Essential physical demands include:
- Significant manual dexterity and coordination.
- Ability to exert up to 50 lbs. of force.
- Exposure to various environmental factors, including noise and odors.
