Compensation: $23.00/hour

Key Responsibilities:
The WIC Program is in search of a Nutritionist, Dietitian, or Registered Nurse to deliver nutrition education, community referrals, and supplemental food benefits to pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, postpartum women, infants, and children under five years old.
Essential Functions:
- Welcome families warmly during clinic visits and phone interactions, ensuring excellent eye contact and offering compliments to enhance their experience.
- Conduct certification testing, nutrition assessments, education, referrals, SOAP care plans, and food package issuance efficiently.
- Assist with clerical tasks as needed through cross-training.
- Maintain and calibrate medical equipment, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for annual state inspections.
- Advocate for breastfeeding as the preferred method of infant feeding.
- Follow Universal Precautions policy diligently.
Meet or exceed caseload objectives and maintain a monthly participation rate for WIC at or above the state average. Ensure a show rate of 75% or higher and fully booked appointment slots daily.
Engage in developing outreach plans and represent WIC in community outreach activities. Accept assigned clinic duties as scheduled, with travel reimbursement for locations beyond the primary clinic site.
Educational Requirements: Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications:
- Registered Dietitian
- Registered Nurse
- Bachelor's Degree in:
- Dietetics
- Nutrition/Nutrition Sciences
- Public Health Nutrition
- Community Nutrition
- Clinical Nutrition
- Family and Consumer Sciences
- Foods and Nutrition in Business
- Nutrition, Fitness, and Health
Qualifications:
- Adaptability in schedule and responsibilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bi-lingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred
This position reports to the WIC Clinic Manager.
