Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Police Crime Analyst to join our team at the City of Surprise, AZ. As a key member of our public safety team, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting crime data to inform policing strategies and improve community safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compile, maintain, and analyze crime data to identify trends and patterns
  • Develop and implement data-driven policing strategies to reduce crime and improve public safety
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders to share best practices and improve crime prevention efforts
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform policy development and operational evaluations
  • Develop and maintain databases and data systems to support crime analysis and reporting
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or a related field
  • Four years of experience in criminal justice or a related field
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Terminal Operator Certification (AZ DPS) within six months of hire
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
