About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a highly respected and reputable company in the Houston, TX area as a Construction Project Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of large-scale construction projects within the commercial tilt-wall and data center sectors.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in supervisory roles. You will be required to develop and maintain project schedules, monitor costs, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

This position offers a competitive salary range of $115,000-$135,000 per annum, along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, basic life/AD&D insurance, and a 401k plan with employer matching.

As a senior leader in our organization, you will be expected to foster a collaborative and informative relationship among team members, develop a positive work atmosphere, and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning: Review plans and specs with the project manager, develop and maintain project schedules, plan and organize job site logistics, assist in securing building permits.
  • Cost Control: Control costs related to General Conditions, approve subcontractor draws and invoices, approve field expenses with the project manager.
  • Project Administration: Produce daily activity reports through Construction Management Software, monitor and update project schedules, provide direction and coordination to subcontractors, become familiar with subcontract documents and scopes of work, maintain as-built drawings, work with the project manager to price out and negotiate change orders.
  • Relations & Leadership: Foster a cooperative and informative relationship among the construction team, develop a team work atmosphere with subcontractors, ensure working relationships with the management team and address their concerns and issues promptly, develop relations with building officials and regulatory agencies, be aware of resident expectations.
  • Safety & Risk Management: Monitor and enforce company safety policies and procedures, maintain construction sites in accordance with OSHA guidelines, conduct weekly on-site safety meetings with subcontractors, identify and correct any safety violations, coordinate safety assessments with the Safety Director, maintain a clean job site free of unprotected hazards.
  • Field Operations: Assemble a team to assist in oversight of on-site activities, monitor construction progress and compliance with plans and specifications, be responsible for overall project schedule and delivery of units, conduct on-site meetings with subcontractors, work to create and maintain a harmonious team environment with subcontractors and suppliers, monitor punch lists and turnover of completed units to management within schedule and quality standards, secure all building inspections and certificates of occupancy, resolve actual and potential cost problems with subcontractors, keep the project manager informed of additional costs, provide planning, organization, control, procurement, storage, logistics, and utilization of materials, maintain an inventory log on sensitive materials such as appliances.
  • Associate Development: Provide training, guidance, and career development for subordinates, offer constructive feedback, evaluation, and praise, act as a role model and mentor, exhibit fairness and professional ethics at all times, provide opportunities for career growth and personal development.
Requirements:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager who possesses the following qualifications:
  • Minimum 5-10 years of construction experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Complete and detailed experience with subcontractor and construction sequencing.
  • Understanding of ASI's, RFI's, and material submittals.
  • Technology: Experience with Microsoft Office, MS Project, and Procore.
  • Experience with CMAR and/or Design/Build delivery methods.
  • Must work well in a team environment and be committed to client service.
  • OSHA 30.
  • A valid driver's license.
