Job Summary

Advanced Medical Imaging is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mammography Imaging Professional to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and producing accurate diagnostic images.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform mammography procedures with precision and attention to detail, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety.
  • Exhibit exceptional technical competence and function as a patient advocate, providing clear explanations and addressing patient concerns.
  • Ensure accurate and complete patient medical records, obtaining thorough histories and explaining procedures to patients and families.
  • Position patients for optimal views, making them as comfortable as possible, and accurately produce mammographic images according to protocol.
  • Collaborate with radiologists to perform departmental special procedures, including stereotactic core biopsy, and participate in quality control initiatives.
  • Maintain working knowledge of radiographic equipment operation and radiation safety, adhering to American College of Radiology certification and accreditation requirements.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in applied radiologic science or certification from an accredited radiologic technology program.
  • One to two years of related experience.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification, Registered Mammography Technologist (ARRT-M) certification, and Nebraska State Certified Radiologic Technologist licensure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

  • Capability to perform on-call, shift, holiday, and weekend duties when required.
  • Ability to effectively utilize department computer systems, EMR, PACS, and HIS systems to review and provide accurate documentation of studies.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
