- The Vibration Analysis Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting research, design, construction, and maintenance initiatives by utilizing specialized instrumentation to assess vibration levels. This position involves conducting field evaluations at various project locations. The engineer is accountable for the planning and installation of vibration monitoring equipment, including seismographs, as well as troubleshooting, data collection, analysis, and reporting. The role includes coordinating surveys of structures to establish vibration thresholds for field assessments and assisting in the development of project scope proposals and data reports. The engineer will prepare and set up equipment at job sites, connect it to web-based data acquisition systems, and monitor data on a daily basis. This position requires work on active construction sites for both infrastructure and building projects. The engineer will work independently or collaboratively on projects of moderate to high complexity. Braun Intertec Corporation provides necessary safety training for site access and safe operations.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop proposals for moderate to complex projects.
- Conduct Pre-construction Condition Surveys of existing structures.
- Establish equipment and communication systems for remote operations.
- Monitor daily data and communicate findings to clients as necessary.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues as required.
- Prepare reports for senior-level review and potentially advance to the role of senior reviewer.
- Gain proficiency in software specific to seismograph types for each project.
- Essential Skills:
- Adhere to established procedures and protocols.
- Ability to concentrate on assigned tasks and manage time effectively.
- Capability to learn, comprehend, and convey risks associated with project recommendations to clients.
- Develop a thorough understanding of Braun Intertec services and the ability to market them to clients.
- Comply with corporate health and safety policies.
- Complete safety training as mandated.
- Comfortable working from ladders and aerial lifts.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geoscience, Geophysics, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in construction or engineering consulting is preferred.
- Licensing and Certification:
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Physical Requirements:

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel, and communicate effectively.
