As an Assembly Specialist, you will be responsible for working collaboratively with our production team to manufacture and assemble high-quality products, adhering to strict safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble or produce component parts into sub-assemblies, assemblies, and completed units, following standard work instructions and assembly travelers.
- Use hand tools, electric tools, and pneumatic tools to perform assembly tasks.
- Maintain acceptable performance standards for assembly, production, quality, safety, and housekeeping.
- Perform minor adjustments or setups to equipment or machines under supervision.
- Inspect parts or completed units using visual inspection, gages, tape measures, check fixtures, calipers, or other inspection equipment.
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the lead person or department supervisor.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and instructions from lead and supervisors.
- Cross-train team members and processes, and assist with production as needed.
- Perform a variety of assembly or production duties with minimal supervision.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1-2 years of production assembly work experience
- Basic reading/writing skills
- Basic PC skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to read a tape measure and understand fractions and decimals
- Good communication skills
- Understanding of 6S
- Ability to read and understand all job specifications
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for long periods of time
- Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced and complex environment.
