Environmental Scientist

Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd. is seeking an Environmental Scientist I to contribute to our team in Herndon, VA.

As an Environmental Scientist I, you will be part of a motivated team empowered to do exceptional work that advances the best interest of everyone involved.

• Conduct environmental studies related to land development, including wetland delineations, stream assessments, tree inventories, and threatened and endangered species.
• Assist with environmental permitting and coordination with regulatory agencies at the Federal, State, and Local levels.
• Work closely with senior and mid-level environmental scientists to learn and assist with the Environmental team's work.

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, or a related field.
• Entry-level position with 0 to 2 years of experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.
• Valid state driver's license and successful motor vehicle check.

• Primarily indoor office environment with occasional outdoor work.
• Frequent and prolonged use of standard office equipment and data collection equipment.
• Local travel during the business day with occasional out-of-the-area and overnight travel.
