Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Preschool Teacher to join our team at Discovery Point. As a key member of our childcare center, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and supportive environment that fosters the growth and development of young children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with our curriculum and promote social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth.
  • Establish and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment that meets the needs of all children.
  • Supervise and support teaching assistants to ensure a high-quality learning experience for all children.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress and well-being.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices in early childhood education.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; early childhood education degree or certification preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a preschool or childcare setting.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with caring for young children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Work Environment:

The work environment is primarily indoors with adequate lighting and temperatures, with some exposure to outdoor weather conditions. The noise level is moderate.

Compensation:

$11.00 - $18.00 per hour
