Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We offer a range of programs, including Kind Clinics, Waterloo Counseling Center, and TeleKind (telemedicine services). Our mission is to provide accessible, patient-centered care that addresses the unique needs of our community.
We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at the Central Texas Austin Kind Clinic. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will evaluate, plan, and provide care for patients under the direct supervision of our attending physicians.
This is a full-time, exempt position requiring 40 hours of work per week, with some evening and weekend hours. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a patient-centered approach, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and plan patient care in consultation with attending physicians
- Perform clinical procedures under the direction of attending physicians and according to approved protocols
- Assess patient needs, develop care plans, and monitor patient progress
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records
- Collaborate with attending physicians, facility staff, and other agencies to coordinate optimal care and resource utilization
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing or Physician Assistant's Program
- 2+ years of outpatient experience as a NP or PA
- Unrestricted and valid license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Texas
- Current DEA and DPS registrations IIIV for prescription writing
- Current CPR certification
- Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience working with diverse populations, including LGBTQ+ and other marginalized communities
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- Working knowledge of Athena electronic medical record software
- Working knowledge of healthcare insurance
Bilingual: English and Spanish
Compensation: This position is placed in salary band 49 with an annual salary range of $95,000 to $100,000 per year. Initial placement within this range will be based on the hired candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
