As a Courier Page, you will play a critical role in the handling and distribution of library materials, ensuring that our patrons receive the resources they need in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and Maintain Equipment: Safely operate and maintain the sorting machine to distribute various materials, including mail, books, magazines, CDs, and DVDs.
- Log and Record Activities: Maintain accurate logs and records of activities, ensuring that all tasks are completed and documented.
- Maintain a Clean and Organized Workspace: Ensure that the work location remains clean and organized, clearing boxes, debris, and book bins as needed.
- Perform Minor Maintenance Tasks: Perform routine maintenance tasks on the sorting machine to ensure optimal performance.
- Refer Unusual Situations: Refer any unusual situations or concerns to a superior for guidance and support.
- Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusiveness: Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusiveness, and participate in maintaining a respectful and positive work environment.
- Training and Experience: Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalency, and have relevant experience in a similar role.
- Physical Requirements: Be able to perform tasks that involve frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting objects of moderate weight.
