Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Pharmacist to join our team at Ansible Government Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing pharmaceutical verification of prescription orders, assessing drug orders, and performing quality assurance functions.

Responsibilities
  • Pharmaceutical Verification: Verify prescription orders for legend, OTC, Medical Surgical, and Controlled Substances to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Drug Order Assessment: Assess drug orders and cross-match with medication presented at checking stations to ensure correct dispensing.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform quality assurance functions, including supervision of Pharmacy Technicians, to ensure adherence to CMOP policies and VA regulations.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation and reports to meet VA and TJC policy requirements.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with co-workers and staff to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications
  • Licensure: Licensed in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
  • Education: Graduate of an American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) accredited school or university.
  • Controlled Substances: Licensed for controlled substances, with qualifications to practice in any states.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills with co-workers and staff.
  • Technical Skills: Maintain basic typing skills, PC computer skills, and working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Language: Read, understand, speak, and write English fluently under the authority of U.S.C. 7402(d) and 7407(d).
  • Certification: Able to pass VetPro certification, which is a credentialing system that is required of all VHA licensed, registered, and certified health care providers.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift.
  • Lifting: Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs, carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance, push/pull with 30 lbs of force.
