Sonora Quest is seeking a highly skilled Technical Coordinator to join our team in Sterling, CO. As a Technical Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to our laboratory operations team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership
    • Provide technical guidance and support to laboratory staff on testing, clinical relevance, and complex problem-solving skills.
    • Assist with department compliance with laboratory accrediting agency and regulatory requirements.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Review records and ensure performance of quality control and assurance procedures.
    • Ensure quality control and instrumentation maintenance records are kept and documentation meets standards of accrediting and licensing agencies.
  • Financial Performance
    • Monitor and improve financial performance of the department and the laboratory system.
    • Assist with cost analysis models and inventory management.
  • Personnel Oversight
    • Assist with basic personnel oversight, including participation in selection, training, and developing staff.
    • Provide input for competency and annual assessments for employees.
  • Communication and Liaison
    • Serve as a resource communication liaison for on-site and system issues.
    • Provide access to other system resources when appropriate.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in medical laboratory science/medical technology, or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years' experience in nonwaived testing in the designated specialty/sub-specialty area.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MLS Certification
  • Additional related education and/or experience.
