We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Bay County Medical Care Facility. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing wound care, and assisting with daily living activities.
- Lead and support a team of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) in providing exceptional patient care.
- Assist with setting up and delivering medications, and verify medication accuracy.
- Conduct resident rounds, taking vital signs, and observing for general well-being, cleanliness, comfort, and neatness.
- Prepare and maintain accurate and detailed records, including medication sheets, physician renewals, and lab slips.
- Inventory and order supplies, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities, and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Valid L.P.N. license in the State of Michigan.
- Valid C.P.R. certification card.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, stand and walk for long periods, and perform other physical demands of the job.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Work is performed in a resident care environment with noise, frequent interruptions, and exposure to unpleasant odors, odorous wounds, blood, and/or body fluids.
- Evening, night, weekend, and holiday hours may be required.
