Job Summary
We are seeking an entry-level drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AutoCAD and MicroStation, with experience in drafting and revising detail drawings for use in planning, permitting, reports, and construction documents.
Key Responsibilities
- Transform initial rough designs and mark-ups into finished working documents.
- Draft detailed drawings of structures and installations such as cargo terminals, marinas, wharfs, bulkhead walls, and coastal structures.
- Review engineering drawings to ensure adherence to established standards.
- Compute volumes of excavations and fill for dredging and earthmoving projects.
- Assist designers and senior technicians with preparation of engineering drawing packages.
Requirements
- Associates Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
- 2 or more years of related experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation.
- Knowledge of material properties and CAD standards.
- Good numeracy, geometry, and computer skills.
- Understanding of construction methods.
Working Conditions
The successful candidate will be sedentary for prolonged periods, interact with clients, and travel occasionally.
