Position Overview:
The Custodian plays a crucial role in upholding cleanliness and hygiene standards within and around the facilities of NFI Industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes various cleaning equipment, including brooms, power scrubbers, and vacuum cleaners, to ensure all areas meet the established cleanliness standards.
  • Regularly empties and cleans trash receptacles in offices, restrooms, and common areas.
  • Ensures restrooms are adequately stocked with essential supplies.
  • Assists in the relocation and arrangement of office furniture as needed.
  • Monitors and maintains pest control measures to guarantee optimal sanitation levels.
  • Clears ice and snow from walkways and parking areas to ensure safety.
  • Keeps the exterior grounds free from litter and debris.
  • Compiles reports related to labor and equipment usage as required by the company.
  • Keeps a detailed log of maintenance and repairs performed on equipment.
  • Submits accurate records and reports as necessary.
  • Identifies and reports safety concerns to the supervisor.
  • Adheres to OSHA regulations and MSDS guidelines.
  • Completes additional tasks as directed by the Operations Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.

The hourly wage for this position is set at $18.00. NFI Industries considers various factors such as qualifications, experience, and location when determining the starting pay rate. Additional compensation may be available based on shift differentials.
