Mobile Health Vehicle Operator

Job Summary:

Under general supervision, safely and responsibly drives the Mobile Health Vehicle (MHV) to and from its home location to a wide variety of locations throughout the Riverside Service Area. Assumes responsibility for monitoring and ensuring maintenance and service needs of the vehicle. Performs proper set-up and breakdown of the vehicle to service patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Primary driver of the Mobile Health Vehicle (MHV)
  • Vehicle pick-up, delivery, set-up, tear down, including onboard generator, septic and power, any and all electronic equipment such as computer, printer, fax, etc.
  • Ensures proper/timely scheduled maintenance of vehicle, including tracking maintenance
  • Maintain and checks equipment for malfunction and/or damage
  • Assist with initial problem identification and solution under the direction of a higher-level resource
  • Responsible for inventory of MHV, including electronic assets, equipment, supplies, and other items associated with the MHV
  • Interacts with members and may schedule appointments
  • Greet members and provides reception services
  • Collects payment for services rendered
  • Answers and returns telephone calls and messages
  • Provides excellent customer service to patients, employers, and other staff
  • Prepare and process a variety of forms (i.e., AVS, off-work/back to work, exchange of records, etc.)
  • Works closely with clinical staff
  • Exhibits strong interpersonal skills
  • Stocks and supplies medical office materials (some lifting required of up to 75 pounds, pushing, pulling, reaching, stooping, bending, squatting, etc.)
  • Cleans and organizes vehicle (in between schedules EVS)
  • Fills and empties water/waste tanks, as well as fuels vehicles
  • Performs fundamental IT troubleshooting
Special Job Features:
  • Starting and ending times may vary
  • This person will be working on the Mobile Health Vehicle and require routine travel to employer sites and community locations throughout Riverside Service Areas
  • The position schedule will include shifts for both weekday and weekend coverage and will consist of an Alternative Work Schedule; (10) or 12-hour shifts
Basic Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum six (6) month months of recent experience in a customer service environment
  • Minimum one (1) year commercial trucking experience, driving Call A vehicles with Air Brakes, and clean driving record
  • Education: High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required
  • License, Certification, Registration: Commercial Drivers License - Class A (California)
Additional Requirements:
  • Knowledge of computer software applications
  • Knowledge of Riverside Service Area (highways, roads, etc.)
  • Must successfully pass basic computer literacy test
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One (1) year of recent experience in a customer service setting
  • Bilingual, English and Spanish

Notes:
  • Will work on MHV routine travel to locations in Riverside, IE & Coachella Valley based on operational needs weekends & holidays
