Position Overview:

Soliant is looking for a passionate and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to become a vital part of our educational team. This role is centered around fostering effective communication skills among students, working in collaboration with educators, families, and other specialists to ensure student achievement.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Evaluation: Carry out thorough speech and language assessments to determine the needs of students. Utilize evaluation outcomes to create tailored Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and therapeutic strategies.
  • Therapeutic Intervention: Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students facing communication challenges. Implement evidence-based methods to improve students' speech, language, and overall communication skills.
  • Collaboration: Partner with classroom teachers, special education personnel, and other professionals to incorporate speech and language objectives into educational plans. Engage in multidisciplinary team discussions to evaluate student progress and refine treatment approaches as necessary.
  • IEP Development: Formulate, execute, and oversee IEPs for students with speech and language requirements. Ensure that goals are customized to each student's specific needs and are regularly assessed and updated.
  • Family Engagement: Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding their child's development and provide strategies for enhancing speech and language skills at home. Offer resources and support to empower families in fostering their child's communication abilities.
  • Documentation: Keep precise and current records of therapy sessions, assessments, and progress reports. Adhere to all relevant regulations and standards in documentation practices.
  • Professional Development: Remain informed about the latest advancements and best practices in speech-language pathology. Engage in continuous professional growth and training opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Certification: A valid state license in Speech-Language Pathology. Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
  • Experience: Experience in a school environment is advantageous but not mandatory. Familiarity with a variety of speech and language disorders is beneficial.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. Capacity to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of educators and professionals. Proficiency in assessment tools and crafting individualized therapy plans.
