Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the collection of monthly mortgage and interest payments, manage daily deposit functions, and collaborate with the accounting team to process checks and wires as necessary.
  2. Handle the activation and payment of private mortgage insurance within the loan origination system.
  3. Address customer inquiries related to interest payments, payoffs, and other pertinent questions.
  4. Investigate and resolve complex issues, including accounting requests, customer complaints, processing errors, write-offs, and investor inquiries.
  5. Draft and send welcome letters and other written communications to borrowers and third parties.
  6. Assist in managing the portfolio of non-performing loans.
  7. Record loan transactions, including principal payments, advances, reversals, and adjustments.
  8. Conduct loan servicing research as requested by lending staff or supervisors.
  9. Develop and maintain reports for management, including periodic and ad hoc performance metrics.
  10. Provide payment histories to investors or servicers upon request.
  11. Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:
  • Associate's Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical institution.
Experience:
  • Minimum of one year of experience in customer service within a financial institution or a comparable professional environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Familiarity with mortgage servicing software.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accurate and efficient work output.
  • Ability to multitask, adapt, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
