Savannah River National Laboratory is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with expertise in ventilation systems to contribute to our team's success.

This individual will be responsible for applying local and national codes and standards to nuclear and non-nuclear facilities, ensuring safe and efficient operation.

The ideal candidate will have experience in design, maintenance, and testing of confinement ventilation systems/components in new nuclear facilities, as well as proficiency in CAD software programs and Microsoft Office.

As a responsible Engineer for various building ventilation systems, the selected candidate will develop and execute Capital and Maintenance projects, supporting Research and Development initiatives.

Key responsibilities include developing conventional Engineering and Scientific solutions to technical task objectives in a timely, cost-effective, and safe manner, with minimal guidance from senior professionals.

Additionally, the successful candidate will lead tasks related to study, development, testing, and analysis of designs, processes, or procedures related to organization function, and organize and accept responsibility for the accuracy of technical analysis and evaluation of results using standard techniques and procedures.

Requirements include a PhD + 6 yrs of experience in a commercial, government, or industrial environment, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited university.

US Citizenship is legally required for the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
