The Department of Radiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking an exceptional academic breast imager to serve as section chief. This is an open rank position, and tenure will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the breast imaging section, overseeing daily operations and ensuring high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement clinical and research programs in breast imaging, collaborating with faculty and staff to advance the field.
- Teach and mentor residents, fellows, and medical students, promoting academic excellence and professional growth.
- Contribute to departmental and institutional initiatives, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- ABR-certified or eligible, with fellowship training in breast imaging or comparable experience.
- Demonstrated leadership success, with a strong track record of clinical, research, and educational achievements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
