Ultra Clean Asia Pacific is seeking a skilled Welder II to join our team. The Welder II is responsible for joining, fabricating, and repairing metals and various materials using appropriate welding techniques. This role entails performing Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG) and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG) on a diverse range of products, including precision, large, and small weldments, in compliance with the relevant (AWS) welding codes and symbols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute welding tasks with minimal guidance and oversight.
- Interpret blueprints, manufacturing drawings, and written work instructions, as well as read and understand AWS welding symbols.
- Set up welding equipment according to the specified weld process specifications (WPS).
- Complete weldments adhering to the applicable AWS welding code and blueprint specifications.
- Position weldment components accurately using fixtures, jigs, measuring tools, and calipers to meet manufacturing drawings and quality standards.
- Utilize material handling equipment effectively during welding operations.
- Perform minor maintenance on welding equipment as needed.
- Take responsibility for the care and maintenance of assigned tools and equipment.
- Follow and enforce safety protocols and procedures.
- Carry out additional duties as required.
- Regular attendance is a fundamental job requirement.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Comprehensive understanding of TIG / MIG welding processes and procedures.
- Experience working with steel, aluminum, and stainless steel materials.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and AWS welding symbols.
- Capable of performing welds that pass visual inspections and destructive testing.
- Proficient in using measuring instruments (tape measures, squares, rulers, and dial calipers).
- Basic mathematical skills; ability to perform conversions and simple calculations.
- Familiarity with welding machines and their setup.
- Ability to operate hand/air tools and electric grinders.
Educational/Certification Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent experience.
- Completion of a two-year vocational welding program or equivalent experience.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in welding.
