**About the Role:**

Avera is seeking a skilled Patient Services Representative to provide exceptional patient care and support in our medical office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating a positive patient experience through effective communication, empathy, and a commitment to excellence.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Answering telephone calls and greeting patients in a professional and courteous manner
  • Creating and updating patient and insurance information in our system
  • Verifying and analyzing health insurance benefits, accepting co-payments, and explaining payment policies and billing/collections processes
  • Scheduling appointments using proper telephone and customer service etiquette
  • Providing Avera Chart information to patients and assisting with signing up

**Requirements:**

  • High school diploma or general education degree preferred
  • One to two years of experience in a healthcare or customer service role
  • Ability to perform basic operations on a computer

**Work Schedule:**

PRN or as needed to cover PTO

**Compensation:**

The hourly range for this position is $22.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
