Job Summary

Day County is seeking a skilled Ambulance Paramedic to join our team in providing emergency medical care to individuals in need. As a key member of our emergency medical services team, you will be responsible for responding to medical emergencies, assessing patients' conditions, and transporting patients to medical facilities safely and quickly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to emergency calls in a timely and efficient manner
  • Assess patients' conditions and administer appropriate medical treatment
  • Transport patients to medical facilities safely and quickly
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes
  • Maintain and clean ambulance equipment and vehicles
  • Participate in continuous training and education to stay current on medical advancements
Qualifications:
  • Current certification as a paramedic in the state of South Dakota
  • CPR and ACLS certification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in high-stress situations
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy loads
