About the Role

The Maintenance Technician is a key member of our team at Air Liquide Advanced Materials, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production and engineering facilities. As a skilled maintenance professional, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and modification of chemical processing equipment, as well as repair and troubleshooting of auxiliary equipment
  • Assist in promoting safety and organization in the maintenance department
  • Continuously review and update work instructions
  • Recommend preventative maintenance intervals based on repair data
  • Execute the Preventative Maintenance Program and the Monitoring and Measuring Devices Program
  • Specialize in engineering improvement construction projects, ensuring well-defined scope and schedule
  • Recommend spare parts inventory levels
  • Write purchase requisitions for needed parts
  • Perform all component rebuilds and calibrations
  • Understand and follow process flow within chemical processing equipment
  • Understand and perform valid leak checks
  • Follow all work instructions and safety protocols
  • Organize and sort information using available computer software
  • Successfully complete all assigned training
  • Must be and remain clean-shaven at all times
  • Ability to wear a full-face tight-fitting respirator and a fully encapsulated (Level A) ER suit, Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), or any other tight-fitting and/or supplied air respirators (SAR)
  • Ability to roll cylinders
  • Fitness for duty, including ability to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders
  • Actively participate on ALAM's emergency response (ER) team, including as an ER entry team member
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3+ years industrial maintenance experience, preferably in the chemical industry or related to fluids systems
  • Ability to medically pass a respiratory test and physical test to wear a full-face respirator
  • Fitness for duty, including ability to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders
  • Ability to roll cylinders that weigh up to 200 pounds
  • Able to read and construct from a P&ID or engineering drawing
  • Basic electronic, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills
  • General maintenance skills
  • Tube bending skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to roll cylinders
  • Fitness for duty, including ability to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders
  • Actively participate on ALAM's emergency response (ER) team, including as an ER entry team member
Preferred Qualifications
  • Gas (Pressure) system component theory and operation
  • Vacuum system component theory and operation
  • Previous emergency response experience or certification
