Nurse Anesthetist Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team at the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration. As a CRNA, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anesthesia care to our patients, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Administer anesthesia services for a variety of surgical procedures, including general, regional, and local anesthesia.
- Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations, including patient history and physical examination, to determine the best course of anesthesia care.
- Develop and implement individualized anesthesia plans, taking into account patient comorbidities and medical history.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance anesthesia care and patient safety.
- Master's or doctoral degree in nurse anesthesia from an accredited program.
- Current certification as a CRNA from the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
- Active, current, full and unrestricted license to practice as a CNA or equivalent in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or in the District of Columbia.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Experience as a CRNA in the OR, with a strong understanding of anesthesia techniques and equipment.
- Knowledge of quality improvement processes and patient safety protocols.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a focus on patient-centered care.
