Position Overview:

The Senior Client Manager, Employee Benefits acts as a vital resource for clients, advisors, insurance partners, and potential clients, delivering prompt, efficient, and high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all policy activities and stewardship within your portfolio.
  • Analyze and report on relevant claims data for larger accounts, identifying trends and benchmarking client data against industry standards.
  • Ensure client compliance regarding benefits and serve as an informed resource on the implications of the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
  • Collect necessary information to present to insurance partners for proposals, offering options and making suitable recommendations.
  • Conduct effective enrollment meetings as required, utilizing prepared materials.
  • Maintain a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and thoroughness when engaging with clients, the firm, and insurance partners, minimizing the potential for errors and omissions claims while demonstrating strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Manage certain accounts independently without assistance from leadership or an advisor.
  • Review existing accounts to assess if additional lines of insurance should be pursued or if modifications are needed throughout the year and at renewal.
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with insurance partners.
  • Understand the requirements and attributes of all insurance partners while maintaining in-depth knowledge of the company and their online resources.
  • Present risks to the insurance marketplace for quoting, as necessary.
  • Respond to inquiries via phone and email regarding options and changes to existing coverage or new policies.
  • Meet with clients at the firm or occasionally at their business locations.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement within the firm, business segment, and processes, bringing issues and discrepancies to the attention of appropriate leadership.
Qualifications:
  • Possess and maintain a state insurance license or other necessary licenses as required by the State Department of Insurance to provide risk management consulting or risk transfer solutions in states where the firm operates (or be willing to obtain all required licenses within the first 90 days of employment).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the insurance industry.
  • Proven effective presentation skills through both verbal and written communication.
  • Proficient in relevant software applications.
  • Exhibit the firm's core values, demonstrating behavior that aligns with the corporate culture.
Work Environment:
  • Fast-paced, multi-tasking atmosphere.
  • Some travel may be necessary.
